Spring/Summer 2013 Issue

The new issue is now live and we are super excited to share all the patterns, articles, and gorgeous photos with you! Each time we publish an issue, I think to myself "this is my favorite issue", and of course I thought it this morning as I was uploading the latest issue to the website. I love how each collection is so distinct yet each one has at least one classic shape with a new twist that you can wear for years to come.
This issue we are going to have a blog tour and give away a copy of the eBook for the featured collection to one lucky winner. I am starting the blog tour right here at Clotheshorse with my pattern in Spirograph: Equation.
The crossover stitch I used in Equation has become extremely popular lately and I was chomping at the bit to design something with it incorporated.
With such an interesting stitch I knew the design needed to stay simple. I decided on raglan shaping and set to working out the scoop neckline. I'm really pleased with the raglan increases and the simple short sleeves.
One aspect I really love about this design is the yarn! The colors were absolutely perfect for the collection, and, as always, Artyarns Ensemble Light doesn't disappoint. Working with the buttery soft yarn is always a pleasure!
Post a comment below about your favorite Spirograph pattern and we'll enter you in the drawing to win the Spirograph collection.
Good luck!

This is beautiful and I have already started looking to see if I can find the Ensemble light in stock in this colour or a similar multi at an online store. I can see it worn over a shirt with pants for work during winter ( I am in Australia so winter is just starting). Just enough warmth and coziness in the office to not make me feel so sad about leaving my knitting at home while I go off to earn money to buy more yarn :). Thanks for the great magazine.
Equation is stunning. I love the color combination as shown. I also love the lines and design of this smashing sweater. This sweater can easily be dressed up for an evening on the town and is also most adaptable for day wear too. A truly almost 24/7 design!
I love equation and I love tangent! I think my favorite is equation though and I'm already looking for the yarn!
I think Equation is fresh and fun. I like the scoop neck styling, too. My favorite pattern in this collection is a toss-up between Tangent and Equation. Fun collection!
Fabulous yarn has this colorway or can special order it for you!

I love both Equation and Parameter, but Equation is top of the list for me. Picking the colorway is going to be the hardest part.
I love Parameter, and it would be a great design to improve my crochet skills!
Equation is by far my favorite! I love the crossover stitching and the unique patterning of the yarn. This will have to go into my list for the fall.
Equation with that stitch pattern is definitely my favorite. I've been looking for an open work top like that one and even Transverse. Great collection!
I really like Equation as well, I am thinking how cool it would be in white! Very summer & very now! Awesome collection!
I'm not usually very variegated adventurous but I love the swirls created by the yarn and pattern combination here... Just beautiful! I think it could take me into new knitting territory!
I love Equation. Such a lovely top! The colour choise in the modl is lovely too!
I definitely have to say that Tangent is my favorite pattern. So fun, so interesting, so eye-catching. I think the i-cord detail is so unique, it totally makes the piece pop!
